Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha

Your 7-Day Vacation in Tanzania begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to the northern safari circuit.

Arusha is located near Mount Meru and within reach of the famous Mount Kilimanjaro, offering a beautiful setting to start your African adventure. After checking into your lodge or hotel, you can relax and prepare for the exciting safari ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari adventure begins with a drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic and wildlife-rich parks.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds and its iconic baobab trees that dominate the landscape. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and various species of antelope.

The Tarangire River attracts large numbers of animals, making it an excellent place for wildlife viewing throughout the year.

After the game drive, you will continue to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Tarangire and travel toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park.

The drive takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands, offering spectacular views of valleys, hills, and Maasai villages along the way.

Upon entering the Serengeti, you will begin your first game drive across the park’s endless plains. Serengeti is home to a vast range of wildlife including lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of wildebeest.

Day 4: Full Day Safari in Serengeti

Today you will enjoy a full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti ecosystem supports one of the largest wildlife populations in Africa. During the safari you may witness predators such as lions and cheetahs hunting across the plains while large herds of herbivores graze peacefully.

Depending on the time of year, you may also witness the famous Great Migration, one of the most spectacular wildlife events in the world.

A picnic lunch will be served in the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Serengeti Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, you will continue exploring the incredible landscapes and wildlife of Serengeti National Park.

Your experienced guide will take you to different areas of the park in search of wildlife. Serengeti offers excellent opportunities to see lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hyenas, and many species of birds.

The vast plains and dramatic scenery of the Serengeti provide outstanding opportunities for photography and wildlife observation.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti National Park and begin your journey toward the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival, you will descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day safari. The crater is one of the most remarkable wildlife destinations in Africa and is often referred to as Africa’s Garden of Eden.

Inside the crater you may see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, flamingos, hippos, and many other animals. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the rare black rhino.

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend the crater rim and drive to the nearby town of Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Karatu – Arusha / Kilimanjaro International Airport

On the final day of your 7-Day Vacation in Tanzania, after breakfast you will begin the journey back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) depending on your departure schedule.

Along the way, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania one last time before the end of your unforgettable safari adventure.

This marks the end of your incredible Tanzania vacation, filled with amazing wildlife encounters and lifelong memories.
