Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania – Arusha

Your eight day safari in Africa begins upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Upon arrival, you will meet your professional safari guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

You will have time to relax and prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Materuni Village Cultural Tour

After breakfast, you will travel to Materuni Village, a beautiful village located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. This area is home to the Chagga people, one of Tanzania’s largest ethnic groups.

You will enjoy a guided walk through the village and surrounding farmland before hiking to the beautiful Materuni Waterfalls. Later, you will participate in a traditional coffee-making experience, where local farmers demonstrate how coffee is processed from bean to cup.

After the cultural tour, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive.

Day 4: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti National Park and travel toward the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon arrival, you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable safari experience. The crater is home to a dense population of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.

After enjoying a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will ascend the crater rim and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.
