Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your 5-Day Big Five Safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or from Kilimanjaro International Airport. After a short safari briefing from your professional guide, you will begin your journey towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife destinations.
The drive to Tarangire takes approximately two to three hours and passes through scenic Maasai villages and open savannah landscapes. Upon arrival at the park gate, your first game drive begins.
Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. During your game drive, you may encounter lions resting in the shade, giraffes browsing among acacia trees, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, and many species of antelope.
The Tarangire River is the lifeline of the park and attracts many animals, especially during the dry season when wildlife gathers around the remaining water sources.
After an exciting afternoon game drive, you will head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

The journey takes you through the beautiful landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering incredible views of highlands, valleys, and traditional Maasai communities. As you approach the Serengeti, the scenery gradually transforms into the vast golden plains that the park is famous for.
Upon entering the Serengeti, you will begin your first game drive in this iconic park. The Serengeti is renowned for its large predator population, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
You may also see massive herds of wildebeest and zebras roaming the plains. If you are traveling during the Great Migration season, you might witness one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth.
In the late afternoon, you will drive to your safari camp or lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Full Day Safari in Serengeti National Park
Today is dedicated to a full day of wildlife exploration in Serengeti National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive when wildlife activity is at its peak. The Serengeti’s endless plains are home to incredible biodiversity, including lions, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and large herds of herbivores.
Your experienced guide will take you to areas where wildlife sightings are most likely, often tracking predators or locating large animal herds.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the park, surrounded by the sounds of nature and breathtaking views of the savannah.
In the afternoon, the safari continues as you search for more wildlife. The Serengeti is one of the best places in Africa to see lions in their natural habitat, and sightings of cheetahs hunting across the plains are also common.
As the sun begins to set over the Serengeti, you will return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Along the way, you may stop for scenic viewpoints where you can admire the vast plains stretching to the horizon.
Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater rim, you will witness one of the most breathtaking views in Africa – the massive volcanic caldera that forms the crater floor below.

Inside the crater, you may see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingos, and many other animals living in this unique ecosystem.
