Overview
The 3-Day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari is an ideal short adventure for travelers who want to explore northern Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations. This safari takes you to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, and the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most famous wildlife conservation areas in Africa.
During this short safari, you will enjoy thrilling game drives, breathtaking landscapes, and wildlife spotting, with the opportunity to see the African Big Five. Additionally, the tour includes a cultural experience in Mto wa Mbu village on the last day, where you can learn about local traditions and enjoy a local lunch before returning to Arusha.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
Your safari begins in the morning with a drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, famous for its elephant herds, lions, giraffes, zebras, and massive baobab trees.
Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, stopping for a picnic lunch amidst the beautiful landscapes. In the late afternoon, head to your lodge near Tarangire for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight in Karatu
After breakfast, you will depart Tarangire and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy the stunning views of the Ngorongoro Highlands and passing local villages.
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the crater for an exciting game drive, where you can spot lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, flamingos, and possibly the rare black rhino.
After a thrilling day in the crater, you will ascend the crater rim and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu – Mto wa Mbu Cultural Tour – Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, depart Karatu and visit Mto wa Mbu village for a guided cultural tour. Explore local farms, markets, and learn about the traditions of the community.
Enjoy a delicious local Tanzanian lunch prepared by the villagers. Afterward, drive back to Arusha, concluding your memorable 3-day Tarangire & Ngorongoro Safari.
