The 5-Day Big Five Safari in Tanzania is an exciting and well-crafted adventure designed to give you the best chance of spotting Africa’s most iconic wildlife—the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino).
This safari takes you through some of northern Tanzania’s most प्रसिद्ध destinations including Tarangire National Park, the world-famous Serengeti National Park, and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater.

Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park (Overnight Tarangire)
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Enjoy a game drive in the park, famous for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest.
After a picnic lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive before heading to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Accommodation: Lodge or camp in/near Tarangire
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive to Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands.
Enjoy game viewing en route as you enter the Serengeti ecosystem. Arrive in the afternoon for a game drive across the endless plains.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drive
Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives.
This is one of the best places in Africa to spot predators including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of elephants, zebras, and wildebeest.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or return to the lodge for a relaxed meal.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Accommodation: Lodge or tented camp in Serengeti
Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater – Overnight Karatu
After breakfast, depart Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.
After lunch, ascend the crater and drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Accommodation: Lodge in Karatu
Day 5: Karatu – Transfer to Arusha
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (KIA) for your departure flight.
This marks the end of your unforgettable 5-Day Big Five Safari in Tanzania.
